This Bloke was demonstrating a right of passage. I guess in Jolly Ol' England this is an acquired talent that takes many years to perfect. The object is to place a condom over your head (that alone is no easy task) create a tight seal around your neck, and blow as hard as you can until the thing explodes.

He was able to perform this skillfully 3 times.

LAUGHLIN RIVER RUN 2010

Not much of a surprise, many of the bikes look the same (in my opinion). It gets kinnda boring looking at ape hangers, fishtails, and chrome to no end. Real bikes are few and far between.

Yes attendance was still down a bit but, definitely better than last year. Typically the Avi has the "Run Wuch You Brung" drag races on both Friday and Saturday. This year it was down to only a few hours on Saturday.
Reminds me of the movie Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man.

Not too many old cool stuff but...

On Friday the crowds were very lite.

DIFFERNT WORLDS, BUT IT'S ALL GOOD!!

Funny thing how the motorcycle world emulates the economy. In days past the MotorCo would have these elaborate parking lot parties featuring LIVE MUSIC, choice of surf & turf, soft drinks, bike giveaways etc....Now it's more like cold hot-dogs, a bag of chips and music by Ipod played through a home stereo system. Don't get me wrong, the good stuff still happens. You see old friends and you meet new ones.

Another interesting observation, the variety of tastes and bikes people see as their masterpiece of what a bike should be. Although similar in some ways WORLDS away in the eye of the beholder. The passion is the common denominator when you speak to any of these folks; well at least the ones who have the two wheels on their mind 24/7. You know the type, you know the feeling it gives you.

SPRINGTIME

Alissa took this picture a couple of years ago (can't believe I'm saying that).

It captured about two years of good and bad times, but in the end it worked out for the best. Just goes to show you, that no matter what road your on it will lead you to your ultimate destination, but not exactly as planned.

This weekend I'm going to try to get a group together to head out to the Street Chopper shin-dig out in Chino. Come a-long.

THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT

My mild mannered neighbor (Rick M) is one cool customer. Love riding with the guy, doesn't attract allot of unnecessary attention, doesn't blow through yellow lights, respects old people (me) and waits for my sorry ass when my bike breaks down. With age comes wisdom they say, and yes, experience my friends! It takes skill to position your bike in a Hotel Room and not block the TV.





Hope they gave you extra towels Rick. I think I see a smudge on those pipes.
